Nantucket Cranberry Cup Puddings

1 c Sugar
2 c Flour
2 1/4 tsp Baking powder
2/3 c Milk
1 Egg
3 tbsp Melted butter
2 c Cranberries
Sauce:
1/2 c Butter
3/4 c Cream
1 c Sugar
Brandy -- to taste
 

Sift flour with baking powder. Mix with sugar. Stir in milk, egg and butter, then cranberries. Fill 12 greased muffin cups and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350. Serve hot, or reheated with old fashioned pudding sauce.

Pudding Sauce: Heat butter, cream and sugar in double boiler or microwave and add brandy to taste.
